  I had a really cool outing to the Devoy squash courts where I got to watch Tauranga Boys students having a game of squash. It was really fun to watch them play. I had another cool outing to Toi-Ohomai polytech to walk around and also play a game of pool. I enjoyed the warm sun on the Waikareko walkway while I took in the sights. In music I had fun sitting in a circle and taking turns at choosing our favourite bands and singers to listen to. I chose Michael Jackson, Billy Jean as I love watching the Moonwalk . I had an ABBA week where we dressed up in funky costumes like them and listened to all of the hits.  I have been playing the bongos and found it really fun to sing along. The next week was all about Elton John  where I listened to his best songs and learnt a few facts about his life, Crocodile rock was my favourite.  I continue to enjoy going to connect 20 to catch up on all the goss, drink a fizzy drink and share a laugh or two with familiar faces....

May Update

  I had a very cool session in the sensory room taking a virtual tour around Switzerland in a train. I enjoyed seeing new sights in a strange place. I then built a train track from a set and used blocks to build a village.  On a sunny afternoon I went to Scantlebury reserve for a walk through the bush track and on the marshland board walk. It was nice to look out over the water and across the bay.  I had a wellbeing session about positive affirmations. My friends all said things that they liked about me which made me feel really good. We wrote it on paper, I held it up to the mirror, smiled at myself and said: “I am awesome”.  In sensory I used highlighter pens to create art under the black light, it was really relaxing and looked very cool!  I had a fun outing at Yatton park, we had a bubble wand that made HUGE bubbles. I had fun taking turns and giggling as the bubbles wabbled away.  In cooking I made some delicious blueberry muffins, I enjoyed wishing al...

 Today we. United Acardia Manor rest home. We some lovely people and played bean bag toss. We all got given a chocolate fish to take home. We had a lovely afternoon. DG
